About Doug, the chaplain guy
Rev. Doug Rowley has lived in Chatham-Kent since 1996. He served as the senior pastor of Glad Tidings Community Church, Blenheim until 2004. He then decided to 'take a break' and began a landscaping contracting business called The Country Parson's Homes and Gardens. While doing this, Doug also became the Managing Director of EMERGE Ministries Canada (A Christian Counselling Service), the Vice-President of Compass Coaching International™, and a Certified Master Life Coach and Coach Trainer with Compass Coaching International™.
In 2006, Doug added to his helping profession by becoming the first chaplain at the Ridgetown Campus. More recently (March 2008), Doug accepted the lead minister position at the local Christian Church located in Ridgetown, On.
Though our chaplain is juggling all these roles, you will find him on campus every Tuesday either in his upper floor office located in the Reek Building, or wandering around making himself available to anyone who wants to chat.
He and his wife Suzanne have three two children, two dogs, and a very large cat. Doug is a hockey goal keeper and known locally as the Holy Goalie.
